Year Three and Four students from schools across Wyre competed in heat one of the tournament under the glorious sunshine at Moorland Tennis Club.
Five schools gave their all, but it was Hambleton who earned their place in the final which takes place on June 17.
Hambleton teacher, Mr. Stewart, said: “The kids loved it and it was great to see sportsmanship all throughout the day.
“We’ll certainly be practicing over the next couple of weeks so that we’re ready for the Wyre finals.”
Shakespeare, Hambleton, Rossall, and Fleetwood’s Charity all brought two teams, while Larkholme entered one.
They were then split into two groups with the top two from each league reaching the semi-finals of the cup, while third and fourth place battled it out for the shield.
Hambleton were ace as they won the cup whereas Rossall were victorious in the shield.
Hambleton’s Wyre final opponent will be decided in the second heat on June 13, and the overall champion of the district will progress through to the county final.
The event was ran as part of the SPAR Lancashire School Games, which concludes in a huge event at Stanley Park on July 2 where thousands of children will take part in the showpiece.
